About Me
My Background
I was born in Pennsylvania. I began my music career at the age of 8 playing flute and have never wavered. I moved to Peachtree City, Georgia in 1986 and have been here ever since!
I graduated from Columbus State University with a degree in Music Education, and began working at MARS Music as the Regional Learning Center Manager, helping bring music students together with music teachers. After a year on Mars I realized my real love was teaching, and entered the world of middle school music.
I now have a Master’s Degree in Education. When I came to my senses I left middle school and began teaching elementary school music at Newnan Crossing Elementary, where I really feel at home!
When I am not teaching either at school or at my private flute and piccolo studio, I love to play in combos for community musicals. New things are always happening and the latest interest of mine is flute and piccolo repair.
